Christmas fairs at Bohus Fortress
& Tofta Manor
In this afternoon tour we start by going to Bohus Fortress only about 20 min drive north from Gothenburg, The fortress is from the 14th century and has playes an important part in Swedish history. In the fortress' yard there will be a choir singing Christmas carols, handicrafters - and Father Christmas has promised to make a stop here too ...
After that you can rest a bit in our minibus while we take you to Tofta Manor. They arrange a wonderful oldfashioned Christmas market every year in and around a charming former grain storage called Magasinet, filled with local handicrafts and delicacies.
Hungry? You will find lot's of tasty food in the café and the outside grill to choose from.
And - the kids can join a pony-ride!

Kings, queens, knights, prisoners, nobless, "witches", soldiers, laborers and maids - they have all lived in the mighty Bohus Fortress.
The Bohus Fortress was built in 1308 and 14 times enemies have tried to besiege it – a nordic record – but the fortress has never been conquered by violence.

Tofta Manor - Magasinet
Wonderful café and shop in the old grain storage on the estate of Tofta Manor. You will find lot'sof arts & crafts and other locally produced articles.
The history of Tofta Manor goes all the way back to the 15th century!
The manor is beautifully situated - surrounded by meadows with grazing cattle, a golf course, a short walk from the coast. In the garden there is plenty of space for relaxation and playing kids.
