Gorgeous island Gullholmen
& it’s breathtaking neighbour
You will have a memorable all day tour to the archipelago northwest of Gothenburg. A day filled with beautiful views, the scent of fresh salty sea & tasty lunch in the port of a genuine, cute fishing village.
And of course a fika at a charming café on our way!
Available June 12, July 4 & 23, August 8
Once arrived on the island Orust we'll start with a yummy "fika"
(i e Swedish for cosy coffe/tea break) at the much loved Tavlebords Honeyfarm. Their café was the first one on Orust to be "eco-certified" and everything here is homemade. By the way, the café is mentioned in "The White Guide".
They have health products, chocolate, gifts & beautiful things in their shop. A visit to their fun and interesting bee-exhibition is a must! In a hive behind glass you can have a closer look at the bees and their fascinating lives.
Then we'll travel as far west we can on Orust, where we'll take the ferry a few minutes to the divine small island Gullholmen –
a picturesque, charming and well preserved fishing village. Gullholmen village has it's origins in the 13th century and is the most densely built island in the Swedish archipelago.
Gullholmen stretches to the neighbouring island Härmanö, where the nature is fascinating and the views over the west sea are breathtaking! The nature reserve on Härmanö is well known for it's amazing beauty.
For a couple of hours you can choose what you prefer to do; walk the trails, swim in the lovely fresh sea, stroll the cobbled narrow streets in the village or maybe have a drink in the charming port?
